The ideas below seem to reach beyond the 'normal' concept of a hackerspace. How far this will go probably depends on the number of non-geeks who are interested in developing this space, AND how open everyone else is to accommodating.

Maybe we can make this a page where we collect stories what kind of expectations users have and what kind of use scenarios we have in mind for the space. (Jan)

It will be good to have cross polination of different ideas and perspectives, it will give a chance for people to meet that don't normally interact. • Co-Working Space where people can work as individuals or groups on their projects, where freelancers and virtual teams can work. - John Berns

• A place with tools and machines to work on hardware projects. Machines can be simple like a drill press and saws up to more complex like cnc mills and lasercutter. There is a clever concept to finance machinery. One person or a group will buy it and then set a price per usage (per minute or case). Once enough money is collected to pay back the initial investment the machine will belong to the space and can be used for free. More important is to have a space that is suitable for such usage. - Jan Detlefsen

• A place for gathering, sharing, and showing off digital art & and the technologies. It would be nice to bring people from different new media / art / multimedia fields to share / collaborate. • A quiet place I can come to every day, with out being bothered and work on my projects, while drinking good coffee, eating healthy/delicious food and sitting at a table which is the proper height for typing.  - Jordan
